KEYWESTFLA
Keywestfla is the very last island in the string of keys that stretch southwards from the mainland of Florida. This tiny island only measure 3miles x 2 miles. Keywestfla is known for its industries of Tourism, business shop, and the fishing and shrimp boats.
It is a welcomed sight to see the boats arriving as the sun sets in the Gulf of Mexico. Down at the docks you will see representatives from local restaurants purchasing much of the catch of the day. Keywestfla is well known for its fresh seafood restaurants, and raw bars.
The Singleton Shrimp company, a processing plant located right off the dock works along with the local shrimpers processing their catch. Keywest Pink shrimp is only one variety of shrimp, and there are many more varieties that are shipped daily locally and abroad.
Some of the locals go directly to the docks or the processing plant in keywestfla and purchase shrimp and fish in bulk and fill their freezers. There are many tasty island recipes that call for fish and shrimp ingredients.
Keywestfla is a great place to watch the sunset while dining at a local restaurant.
